Bouncing Back from the Cumbria Floods

In December 2015, Storm Desmond swept across the North of England bringing a record amount of rainfall to Cumbria. A confirmed 341.4mm of rain fell in just 24 hours which caused many rivers in the area to burst their banks, resulting in major flooding and damage.
Unfortunately, due to our lakeside position at Bassenthwaite Lake, parts of our park were flooded and a few holiday homes were damaged. The following video shows the extent of the flooding outside the park gates:

Luckily we are back up and running thanks to everyone’s hard work all winter to turn things around. We now have concrete bases to comply with flood defences, flood insurance and new roads are being laid. We would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported us during this time and that we are very happy to see all of our existing customers who were flooded returning with new holiday homes this Spring.
See below for photos of the site taken during the floods and clean up.
