Herdwick Croft Carvan Park is a small, secluded, yet well equipped site at the Northern end of Bassenthwaite Lake, within easy reach of the best of the English Lake District. The park has sites for your own caravan or touring vehicle.

PLEASE NOTE – The toilet block is closed from November to March
The views from the site are magnificent overlooking the best of the Lakeland fells including Skiddaw and Binsey. You are surrounded by tranquil countryside and woodland areas. Bassenthwaite Lake is 50 yards from the site.
Well behaved Children & Dogs are welcome. The site is within easy reach of Keswick on Derwentwater, Cockermouth and even Carlisle. There are superb family facilities nearby and it is an excellent area for the outdoor enthusiast.
The caravan park is well placed on the main bus route to Workington, Cockermouth, Keswick, and Penrith. You can download the latest bus timetable by visiting the Stagecoach website, and searching for bus X4 or X5.

Wow! What an amazing place. We’ve just stayed for 3 nights in our caravan and it is a beautiful site!
Showers and toilets were clean. We never had to wait to get in and went at different times throughout our stay.

What a fabulous weekend we all had celebrating three special birthdays. Some camping and some in the cabins with hot tubs. Everything was amazing and immaculate.
This campsite is in a good position near Bassenthwaite Lake and also a lot of local attractions. There are lots of local amenity from the Wildlife Park to Bassenthwaite Lake Station which is a great cafe/restaurant.
What a lovely site, in a Fab location with friendly staff. Camped in VW van in ‘rally’ field which was peaceful and quiet with great views. Clean, tidy toilet/ shower area
Had a really lovely time camping with the family. Very clean and tidy and great for dogs!!!! Shower and toilet block clean and not to far to walk
