Families and travelling groups will love the welcoming lounge with Smart TV and sound bar, and a log-burning stove to turn those winter nights from cold to cosy, perfect for relaxing on the comfortable leather sofas. The kitchen and dining room have been superbly appointed, with a five-ring electric hob, electric double oven, microwave, dishwasher, American style fridge freezer, wine cooler and even a TV in the kitchen, as well as a splendid island unit and granite worktops. The dining room features beautiful picture windows and opens up to the first of two patios.
The cottage offers plenty of privacy for guests, screened on two sides by woodland, with a private drive and gate leading to enough parking for four cars. There are still fab views to enjoy though, with the grounds opening up to the south west – our south facing patio is ideal for enjoying the views and soaking up the sun. There is also a larger patio to the side of the house with dining furniture, which is perfect for eating al fresco in the summer, as well as a covered outdoor summer house with Sonos sound system and outdoor heaters.

Herdwick view is situated in an idyllic spot with Skiddaw as a backdrop and Bassenthwaite lake a 5 minute walk. The house itself is stunning , it has recently undergone renovation to a high standard with quality finishes throughout. The layout is practical and family friendly with a ground floor en-suite bedroom for anyone unable to negotiate stairs. The kitchen is well equipped with a great utility room for storage and washing/drying clothes. The garden is superb and the two hot tubs a fabulous addition. The owners are warm, welcoming and attentive, nothing too much trouble. This really is a beautiful place to stay in a stunning location.
